I would estimate that there was a 60-40 split, still instructor led driven, but even a significant number of the ILT vendors were offering subsets or capabilities to turn their ILT into online via webinars or online courses. Mobile Learning. ILT heading into the online path in one way or another.

I have seen continued interest and downloads for open source AR tool kits. Augmented reality opens those doors. If you are still a huge fan of ILT or believe a blended learning approach is necessary, why stick only to PowerPoint, handouts and long talks? Actually it already has with some end users.

Strong ILT functions (for those who offer instructor led training). Setting up the ILT functionality is again, easy to do and the features are more than robust. An API can tie back into the administration side of things, still providing you with the data needed, so if you want to go with an open source API it can be done.

Many in the education market are still in love with open source systems, such as Moodle. Ancient features such as discussion boards/text chat/forums – I offered these babies back in 1995 on my web site. Online Learning vs. ILT. That said, this has become the norm in these systems.
