I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Perhaps they are unaware of online authoring systems offering assessment features. This will become one of the biggest features in 2012 – especially with people wanting to create simulations without being an e-learning developer.

Again, you can find them in most learning systems and even some authoring tools. They equally match the survey tools, and for some systems their survey tool is better. That said, if I was looking to enter the e-learning space, I wouldn’t choose the standalone survey, assessment or combination of the two market.

I’m on my way to get a car that enables me to launch a robust social learning system. Social profiles, comments & ratings, polls. A web conferencing solution is integrated, i.e. comes with the system, but if you want to use it – you pay a separate fee. E-Learning 24/7. No problem.
