Confusing once you dive into the product – see below. Problems abound within the product – not bugs mind you, just poor processes (IMO). One of the features I do love about the product is the ability to drag and drop – yet this is the only screen you can do it from. This product was far from it.

Kodak embraced them to a point, but kept their initial camera products. Some types: slideshare presentation, event management, livecasting or live streaming, social network aggregators, social news aggregators (which is different then just news posts), video sharing (say YouTube) and this is just a few. E-Learning 24/7.

Supports 3rd party APIs – actually most do, but again, if you asked “hey can I have Slideshare in my system”, they would say yes. E-commerce included. E-Learning 24/7. Big wins: On/Off synch for mobile devices, also supports Tin Can API. Easy to use interface. Nice classroom management. BizLibrary $-$$.

slidesharing, livestreaming. That there are people out there including vendors who are not on the social media scene. I wonder how many of these vendors offer a micro-blogging like product in their product? I know of only one LMS vendor Absorb that is on FourSquare. Vendor Section. E-Learning 24/7.

You could count on your hand the number of vendors even looking at it, and I’m not just talking LMSs/Learning Portals, but content authoring tools and other products. I recall speaking in November on a webinar panel and being somewhat chided over the fact that I kept repeating the importance of mobile learning and tablets.

Vendors and sadly, companies who purchase their products, believe that since someone can open up their web browser and click to view pages, they can figure it out. Anything that reduces calls into a company’s tech support (and thus lower the costs for that vendor’s customer support) will be incorportad.
