Personal Web Tools (PWTs) are thought by some to be synonymous with PLEs (Personal Learning Environments) but the two should not be confused. Sound like a PLE?

I think that Managed Learning Environments are like Pompeii. Secondly, the new generation of social networking students don't want or need to be managed. The Personalised Learning Environment (PLE) will take their place. They resent being controlled and told how to communicate with each other.
