Don’t double compress videos – use uncompressed or lossless formats when compressing to FLV format. Encoding videos to FLV. Before using videos in your Flash project, you would need to encode them in a format compatible with Adobe Flash (FLV or MPEG-4). This table shows compatible publish and playback versions for these codecs.

The new version (IE 9) which is expected to be released sometime in 2011will support HTML5. Audio/Video Support – HTML5 has added new video and audio tags that can play video/audio in a browser without a plugin but it doesn’t officially support any video or audio format. Check out this website that can test HTML5 support in a browser.

The most important one is Adobe removing restrictions on SWF and FLV/F4V specifications. Opera has released a HTML 5 version (Opera mobile) for Windows Mobile. What’s Adobe’s contribution? So one can now develop software that can actually “play” SWF content. Recently, even Blackberry is adopting a Webkit based browser.

I’ve been using Articulate Presenter 09 for a couple of months now and have come up with the five things I like best about the new version. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen my posts about having problems with the new version. Even with the issues, I wouldn’t go back to the previous version.
