Non-Java player for HTML5 courses and thus viewable on tablets. API (Application Program Interface) capability. LMS Solid Features.

ILT (Instructor Led Training – Workplace, even EdTech – K-12 and Higher Education). Heck, I was in a doctorate program, whereas the majority of the ‘courses’ was via Lotus Notes, the other was ILT. The LMS The player for online learning and WBT? It had something to do with ILT. So, no 640 there.

The LMS – Let’s Set The Record Straight

The dominant player in each of those shows was an LMS, followed by a learning platform. Because, ILT, on-site, was the only way, the main way to learn (excluding the guides nobody read) didn’t and still doesn’t offer that. I didn’t see one new 100% LXP at LTUK. Nor at DevLearn. Now is that effective?

Look today, at the number of folks who still hang onto ILT. Eliminate the inherent problems with ILT, which includes people afraid to ask questions, the session driven by the instructor, a step by step even if the learner/trainee has zero interest OR already knows and wants to know a specific section.

Well, I guess for ILT, and even then as time has evolved, it hasn’t. I think informal/formal was designed and suited for ILT, not e-learning, because from the days of Corporate in 2000, you could do informal with your LMS. And in 2002, many more – I used Geolearning – it offered lots of informal options.
