GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro is a LMS that packs a wallop but at the same time has some features that provide limitations. Administrator side is equally pleasant, with ease of use, nav friendly playing a key role. Strong ILT functions (for those who offer instructor led training). Wizards for the Admin side – Genius!

Geolearning. A classroom for ILT. When GeoLearning changed to Express, I was fortunate to stay with the more advanced one – and still received updates.  Privacy plays a role – but know what questions to ask – every vendor will stay “strong privacy.” They Bookstore. E-commerce.

Because, ILT, on-site, was the only way, the main way to learn (excluding the guides nobody read) didn’t and still doesn’t offer that. I had 3D desks (for ILT), a gallery (which offered a lot of options), a bookstore (with e-commerce), and two additional levels. 100% of online courses were doable and available.

Well, I guess for ILT, and even then as time has evolved, it hasn’t. I think informal/formal was designed and suited for ILT, not e-learning, because from the days of Corporate in 2000, you could do informal with your LMS. And in 2002, many more – I used Geolearning – it offered lots of informal options.

Alternately, for companies ready to move beyond a course- and LMS-centric view of social learning, Mzinga can provide a Community strategy where social networking and social media are more prominently featured and formal learning elements take on supporting roles. GeoLearning. This does not mean that formal learning will go away.
