Eliminate the inherent problems with ILT, which includes people afraid to ask questions, the session driven by the instructor, a step by step even if the learner/trainee has zero interest OR already knows and wants to know a specific section. I don’t and still don’t understand the love for Kirkpatrick, which was designed/created for ILT. I see that folks take this model for ILT, then shove them into the online course builds and go, “See, it is perfect for that.” The rest captures the learner’s attention; I rarely see it in seminars for ILT.

Ask your fellow colleagues – via Linkedin, Quora, etc. Scope out Linkedin, and other social media channels. Finally, ILT is still in demand – but I believe that by 2020, 95% of learning will be online and not instructor/classroom based. As such, people tend to go about it in a few ways to solve this dilemma.

Courses appearing in the market in a linear fashion, a result of people entering the space from a ILT background, it fits under this category, because vendors are not explaining the non-linear nor the true essence of WBT of courses. Many vendors hyping PowerPoint to Flash angle as key feature. If you are using SCORM 1.2 it will not work.
