I ended up putting all the “chunks” of content into boxes on a PowerPoint slide and dragging and dropping until I was happy with it. Bring up a PowerPoint slide in your web conferencing software and drag and drop live while you’re on the phone. I was struggling a bit to figure out how to organize the pieces.

If a PPT course tool – what can it do that others in that niche can’t? Nomenclature – are they using the appropriate terms for course building or have then gone rogue with “slides” – which seriously prior to Studio, was never used as a course term. Supports PENS. Supports PENS too.

Use of the term “slides” to represent pages. Use of PowerPoint in rapid content authoring tools – this has been a big irritant of mine, since the days when PPT first made its appearance in rapid content authoring tools. Some vendors use chapter-page approach with PPT, but there are plenty who do not (why?).

PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Yes, you can use it for many different things, and yes, Microsoft has an add-on that turns PPT into something similar to Adobe Presenter. PowerPoint is presentation software.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. Import and convert PPT to the web, add rich media. Comes with a screen capture tool, spell checker (many RCATs do not), Slide audio recording & editing. Some acquisitions, some goodbyes, but overall very strong. Supports HD h.264

Instead I create the background images to use in my PowerPoint slides so it’s easy to just swap out the background. One quick question…How do you do the annotation on your slides inside of Articulate? The tabletPC is just like using a mouse only I use a pen. Make a few variations of the template. — Sheldon.
