Authoring Tool Market – What I am seeing

Because the industry as a whole is a lemming, I expect more vendors to come on board. In just the past month, I have seen quite a few vendors add this capability in their product – and for the most part they are all RCAT products. Well some vendors have more than 15 come with their product. HTML5 output. Not anymore.

I would encourage all tool vendors to take a good hard look at the products they sell and ensure that they are offering something unique and useful. Joe: Tool vendors have been more reactive than proactive in many ways. Are there training classes available, either from the tool vendor or from third parties? What is the future?

Is your LMS going to be on your servers or on the vendor’s servers (i.e. Internet: If your solution is going to be hosted on the vendor’s site, and you plan to have your end users access at work or at home: you still most ask yourself the questions in #2 for the workplace and then even at home. How old are your computers?
