According to NBC’s review of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, textbook prices have risen over 3 times the rate of inflation from January 1977 to June 2015, a whopping 1,041% increase. The State appropriations per full-time student have fallen from an inflation-adjusted $8,489 in 2007 to $7,642 in 2017.
