Last week, I attended TK 2012 in Las Vegas. The reason I say education/academia more so – is that it is geared towards synchronous based learning, which is used more than 95% in education/academia space. Think the old way of distance learning – with everyone shoved in one room, and the instructor somewhere else.

Corporate wasn’t really there at the time, some places did it, but it was edtech, the launched the WBT scene, removing the distance learning debacle (which was the key player, think tv to tv or monitor, with people looking at other people, or the instructor, and yes it was very popular even into the 2000s). Who led the market?

However, unless you can turn that into actionable information especially the kind of Data Driven learning solutions, then I'm not sure I buy that this will be much more than a neat thing to talk about and for vendors to sell. Grows - But Creating "eLearning 2.0
