The previous term that was widely used was CBT, Computer-Based-Training, which was taking a course on your computer via a CD-Rom, and later by some with a DVD-ROM. And knowledge of any ADDIE or another modalities, not needed. . WBT by the way was the term used for e-learning, as in Web-Based-Training. It is boring.
