At one time, you could be “certified” with AICC and yes certified with SCORM, but why would you want to be? I’ve never heard someone say, “Sheesh, I need an LMS that is SCORM certified, or what your authoring tool is not AICC certified? I still see course libraries that are only AICC. Here is my take.

To be able to host the courses hosted on the LMS, the elearning content should comply with standards guidelines published by SCORM, AICC or custom compliance conventions which the LMS in question supports. Silverlight’s universal acceptance and adoption rate is not satisfactory yet.

The downside to this, is I wasn’t able to listen to Death Cab for Cutie (a band), but on the upside, I learned that this person was one of the first 100 employees ever to work at Microsoft. System course standards acceptance include SCORM, AICC, xAPI, but no PENS. Analytical data is good. Data visualization is mixed. .
