Product Review: Totara

eLearning 24-7

Kineo Group’s Totara LMS is a new breed of systems hitting the space. Vendors in this space include Docebo, eFront, Litmos and of course Totara. My Learning tab – shows alerts, recent learning, upcoming events. Every system should have some type of graphical representation.

eLearning 24-7

Next week, 12-12-12, will be #10 to #1 learning management systems for 2012. They are a next gen of lite LMSs (feel free my post “When is a LMS, Not a LMS”). Part LMS, part social and yes a very nice part of mobile including apps for iPad. This is a new breed of the LMS sector. You will.

eLearning 24-7

The argument that you have to spend over 50K to find a sweet LMS is totally bogus. What is true is that there are plenty of awesome systems for less than 25K and even sweet systems with very nice feature sets for under 10K. I’m not talking about freebies such as Moodle or Sakai, but actually commercial systems.

User Friendly or Hype?

eLearning 24-7

The number one reason people leave their current system or purchase a different e-learning product? I have seen over 150 systems, 80 plus authoring tools, dozens of web conferencing products, mobile learning, quiz assessment tools, CMSs and learning portals, and not everyone of them meets those two statements.
