And Microsoft and Apple are not even direct competitors. A much more important battle is the one they both face against free and open source software.

The Big Question: What will workplace learning technology look like in 2015?

It doesn’t really matter if it’s Microsoft or Apple, HTML 5 or Flash, proprietary or open source, so long as it delivers content and allows humans to interact. Most people will still be using Windows PCs and laptops; a great many will also have smart phones or tablets of some sort.

I've previously experimented with their desktop tool, RapideL Enhance, which works with Microsoft Word to generate Flash-based courses, but this is a big step forward. Although there is an open source option in eXe , it's fair to say that this is more directed at educational users than corporates.
