LMS stands for Learning Management System. which was set up in 2000, to the most recent SCORM 2004 (4th edition) from 2009. If it’s not certified by ADL, which SCORM API elements are supported? ADL is the governing body for SCORM. For an LMS to be SCORM-certified, it needs to have passed ADL’s testing process.

SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a standardized model for content distribution and reuse that enables synchronized delivery of learning materials to computer-based training (CBT) systems. When you publish a SCORM package to an LMS, the system will only download those files that it needs for the modules.
