Why do searches on e-Learning terms drop dramatically?

Searches on Google on some e-Learning related terms are dropping year by year: searches on Instructional design for example dropped by 80% since 2005. They should be learning systems but in fact they are management systems, they don’t facilitate the learner and they create vendor lock-in. On SCORM the drop is 83%. On the rise.

Course Standards: Where R We Heading?

Will xAPI be the one standard that is “the” standard? I wouldn’t call it pondering rather I would call it a huge misnomer in the entire authoring tool industry, course development industry – with vendors here – when it comes to course standards. I’ve even seen it with LMS vendors.
