Ability to publish to.exe, web – this has always been around, but one vendor spins it with “Offline SCORM”, then you find out this means you can download the course in its SCORM wrapper and either have it as an.exe, use it on the web (without a LMS) or publish it to a LMS. State of the LMS 2012

Do you have a LMS/LCMS/Learning Platform. By the mid to late 2000′s, the split returned with LCMS and LMS (and yes, there were vendors who called themselves LCMSs for as long as e-learning – online learning – has existed). rather then going through the LMS vendor.
