I won’t constantly bore you on their Facebook, Twitter like components, nor discussion board or text chat, but seriously.who thinks this is engaging and interactive? E-Learning 24/7. Yes, I own one.

Output to Facebook. I guess some folks believe that everyone wants to take courses in Facebook. That everyone uses Facebook, you know the 20 something crowd. Reality: StumbleUpon generated more traffic in the last two quarters then Facebook. Many companies ban access to social media sites, especially Facebook.

In fact, recent surveys are showing that college students prefer SMS over e-mail notifications. Can add Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ : interesting about Linkedin – it is not that widely used by college students. Apps available for download: Apple store, Blackberry store, Android store. In the past year: Apple has filed a patent for 3D Kinect experience using touch free gesturing. Another Apple patent includes allowing users via touch free gesturing to move content from one device to another (example from your iPad to your television). Video blogging exists – so why are we still seeing blogs?

Lets make no mistake that companies such as Google, Microsoft (already a player in the education sector) and especially Apple could make this happen – immediately. Apple already has the iTunes university (which is lame), is in the education/academia market and today is known to see big revenue opportunies and pounce on them.
