This solution reminds me of Articulate Studio in terms of its capabilities, but at a lower cost. 2 Articulate Storyline – I have to say that they are quite close to taking the number one spot, but they fall just a tad short. Rapid Intake – Hasn’t really done anything in the last several months.

My personal favorite feature is the timeline with individual tracks for audio, images and text. 15 Articulate Studio 09 - Until I see what 2013 can do (and it is about to be in beta), Studio sits at number 15. Despite what Articulate might say the most used products within Studio are Presenter and Quizmaker. Easy to use. #15

While most people were oohing and awwing over Articulate’s Storyline, virtually no one was checking out Sh!FT’s One such vendor is Rapid Intake.

You are still able to add video clips, audio, etc. Content authoring tool vendors equally not over abundent (Rapid Intake, Allen Communications, Articulate, Adobe were there among a few others). It enables you to upload PPT onto the iPad and present it to people – on the floor, at a location, etc.

Rapid Intake: Unison. Comes with a screen capture tool, spell checker (many RCATs do not), Slide audio recording & editing. Innovation is listed next to the product. The product is not necessarily the ultimate in RCAT, but they are solid at the minimum and should be at least looked at, before making any decision. SAAS based.

Rapid Intake (now Litmos Author) had this ability more than four years ago. Storyline2 by Articulate -The product has some pluses, but while it did a few nice things, I was wanting more. HTML5, lots of actions/scripts capabilities, still has that “retro” look of past days of authoring tools (pre-rapid take off). .

Another vendor, Xplana.com allows you to create communities, share the content (courses, books, presentations, video, audio, images, etc.)
