I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. SlideLive - upload a ppt and away u go, targets Academia - SAAS. Red5Chat -video, audio chat functionality – Flash driven.

Vendors can move up, down or out of the rankings – after all it is on-going. I’m not a lead gen for the vendors listed – rather the goal is to provide you with vendors that meet numerous criteria including UI, features, support/service, mobile, feedback from current and past clients and future game plans.

Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Screen capture, audio editing. Makes sense.

Web conferercing continues to be hot, but it is not as easy as just selecting vendor x or y, rather to find the best solution, it is important to identify certain items and features before moving forward. . For the vendors who offer this option, they go about it in a couple of ways. Rule of thumb. and another seminar at 9 a.m.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. Sure, other vendors will say you can do that too, but you have to open each object file to get it. iPod, mobile phones, YouTube, message boards, e-mail. Import and convert PPT to the web, add rich media. Who has time?

Each PowerPoint slide appears in order, following your PPT order. For example: your first PPT slide is on the timeline then you add a word document, next an image file, another slide (your 2nd one in the deck u uploaded), then audio/movie and so on. ppt slide, quiz, image, etc.).
