How will privacy issues come into play? No surprise that some vendors are also waiting to see what happens. M-Learning with a native app – slowly trucking along, but I am hearing quite a few vendors who are either in development or getting going in 2014. I believe that you can expect some type of voice capability with the actors/avatars as in the ability to either lip synch with the characters via audio tool/recording tool in the product will show up more in 2013. One vendor already offers it in 2012, and knowing this industry – if something takes off and works, others will follow.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Over 98% of the LMS/LCMS/learning platform have at least one compliance standard, so why use a RCAT that doesn’t? Makes sense.

For example: your first PPT slide is on the timeline then you add a word document, next an image file, another slide (your 2nd one in the deck u uploaded), then audio/movie and so on. Even if you wanted to include the e-mail address on the opening page of the course, there are privacy concerns/issues at various companies.

I found some of the suggested information (again, you do not have to enter anything) a tad too personal and really I see as a privacy issue. Who is the heck is ever going to put that in their profile, because I want to meet that person who cares little about privacy. E-Learning 24/7. But it gets better.
