This past week, Cornerstone Convergence (more on what I saw, screens, etc.) Attending Cornerstone Convergence held at Resort Worlds (the Frontier was one property that once stood there), brought out some intrigue and in my case, well, me. Overall, I love where Cornerstone is going with learning. Another hotel. Another hotel.

Thus, I focused on at least 50% for Tier 5 (although the higher the better, but even today, vendors are still a work in progress on these items), 85% or higher for Tier 4, 100% Tier 3. I won’t say who the vendor is, but they are big into adaptive learning and push that as the key for their system. Every item received points.

Where in some systems it is extremely equal and in some cases better than a BI (Business Intelligence) tool? There are vendors who have struck deals with BI providers, and thus the metrics/analytics you see open the back-end is from that BI tool. Sales success and business strategy tied around ARR and Growth for CEOs and similar.

To the 2018-19 Learning System Grid,identifying the Leaders, Risers, Steady and Slow vendors for NexGen functionality. . For this year’s grid, an additional vendor was added per group (last year it was five per grid). NexGen Functionality Tier 2 (Not every vendor has all of these items, just an fyi).

I thought first around something like the Truth they don’t want you to know, then realized that some vendors would push back and say that isn’t true, which gets back to the original statement. Lately I’ve heard that two popular words are being used in the business lexicon – anecdotal being one. A conundrum.

Skills Management – Skill ratings, Skill libraries (usually tied to job roles), extensive upskilling features and capabilities – Many vendors in the learning system space are pushing the message as they themselves are elite above all others, but who pray tell really is? Those who stand above all else.

Well, not yet, but it is coming up and with that are all those wonderful vendors and that magical expo. Where each and every one of us who attends the show, can walk, view, photo or video, each booth. But one of the biggest problems I see at such shows are the number of vendors who in hindsight I wished I avoided. CD2Learning.
