Templates are about keeping costs down, not standards up. And hopefully, they are flexible enough that they can be altered as needed in order to create an effective learning experience. This approach saved them a ton of time, and resulted in an effective training program. But what is a template? Its really a mental model.

Weve taken this up before and many of us IDs know the strategies for using audio most effectively by now. As Im ramping up in my new job, Im talking with my new Kineo colleagues about everything under the sun. In India, most courses have no audio but I suspect this has more to do with costs rather than learners preferences.

Im a linear reader in recovery and have been actively learning how to skim books and not feel guilty about it. Although Im not in active instructional design mode for any projects right now, I did jot a bunch of ideas. those born between 1991-2000), Im a bit of an ape (no offense to apes, mind you). Do They? ) No boomers here.

And by asking this, Im not suggesting that design isnt important, for it is - its seen by some as part of the pedagogy. I wonder about this, for scaffolding is important for the effectiveness of resources that are used. It cost me $300. Karl, Of course Im trying to bait you! It was unorganized. There were no "tells."

Im not sure if the SME was reading a script, reading the notes, or just speaking from the heart. My argument is that if the information is presented as 'real' conversation it is more believable, more engaging and ultimately more effective. Look at games like Mass Effect 2 as a perfect example. So thats one version.
