The OER movement was the trigger for the MOOCs then. They are using various tools for PKM ( Personal Knowledge Management ) and taking onus of their own learning. L&D’s focus needs to shift from designing one-size fits all courses to consulting with individual learners, their managers and HR, and carving out learning roadmaps for them. We can take a leaf our of platforms like Udemy or Coursera that offers a gamut of courses – all accessible via an app.

I only took one philosophy course in college,and later on I hollowed out the book to hide a gag gift, so it’s clear I’m not that contemplative on this issue. It was clear from their discussion that the market was changing: Customers are demanding shorter courses. Nothing new here. Customers are demanding more online delivery.
