4 Demo Dupe. The demo switcheroo is a big time gripe. You see an amazing demo with all the bells and whistles. It doesn’t come with everything you saw in the demo. I remember seeing some pricing online by a LMS vendor and then when I got the contract it had different pricing on it. You buy the LMS.

There is a growing list of vendors, including small/mid size that are adding talent management components that match the Big Dog systems. A couple of vendors have added HRIS modules. It is interesting to note, that many of the vendors are targeting the SMB space, especially the small size (less than 500 employees) market.

I often hear people say they want mobile learning in their solution, social learning, e-commerce, but when you ask for specifics they sometimes have a blank stare on their face. Specifics.

While mobile learning is moving at an incredible speed, faster than anticipated by some of my colleagues, it does not come without a cost. Any vendor, who includes a set storage fee, should be able to provide you a range of number of courses – with examples and video/audio files – if you plan to use them. Many vendors’ sites do not state this information in their pricing. To view this new UI, you need to schedule a demo.

Vendor can create a component so you can push directly into your LMS, without having to upload it directly (extra cost). When initally viewing the demo with EasyGenerator their speed was extremely quick, so the issue may arise on where exactly are you hitting the SaaS site from, in terms of at the workplace or off-site.
