The ability to record audio in real time or post time makes a lot of sense and eliminates the need for using Audacity (albeit it is a wonderful and free product). There are more vendors who do not offer the ability to post – i.e. add audio afterwards it is quite amazing.

Oh, excuse me – social networking to most of the vendors who spin it under the guise of social learning. I won’t constantly bore you on their Facebook, Twitter like components, nor discussion board or text chat, but seriously.who thinks this is engaging and interactive? Oh, yeah, social learning.

This will become one of the biggest features in 2012 – especially with people wanting to create simulations without being an e-learning developer. Assessment/Survey/Polls – If your product doesn’t have it – you need it. I hope it does – especially with SaaS products. It isn’t.

LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad.

Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be the first real challenger to the iPad, it runs on Android OS, offers Flash 10.1 Again, the iPad runs with HTML5, not Flash nor Java. True, the other tablets and Samsung offer Flash 10.1 and Java, but they offer HTML5 too. Same issue occurred with Opera – used Flash and Java.
