Vendors are hearing us and are making changes. More multilingual options to their web sites, trials and social learning. Newest Version – LMS/Learning Portal Directory. So, why then would you not want to know the price – at least the street price, up front. But, they still have a way to go.

The LMS/LCMS/Learning Portal market continues to be strong. In my latest directory, 393 LMS vendors – global, of which 34 or so are open source systems. In a market this size, and with so many vendors overly focused on the U.S. Folding up shop for good – goodbye and nice knowing you. It was a myth.

Very few LMSs offer online/offline synch with a native app – heck, online/offline synch in general, but pitch that they offer mobile learning. . What they really mean is that you can view the LMS and courses via your mobile web browser. . Too me, that is not truly mobile learning. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. Bottom Line.

If you as the customer want to create your own API/Mashup or find one on the net and want to integrate it into your paid LMS, the vendor will charge you. People do this all the time, with web conferencing solutions that are not integrated into their system, or video being streamed on another server, etc. Bonus Trend.
