Because it offers the capability to start out using it either as the robust social learning product and ignore the LMS part (inc. But the real WOWSA is in the social learning component. One of the biggest problems I always saw in the products was the back end, i.e. what the administrator sees and has to use. Test Drive.

Of course it can still look lame – the course that is – but that isn’t because of the product, rather umm (well you know who). 19 Zenler Studio - I liked this product last year (2012) and I still find it quite favorable. 18 Mzinga Publisher - Holy macaroni! CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. CBT was the “new” and exciting way to learn. It was challenging to learn, but a great product. WBT (Web-Based Training).

Mzinga’s OmniSocial product sort of fits the build, but it lacks some components, to what I see as a true system, specifically 100% standalone, since it can also be integrated into a LMS or used in their own LMS. I will admit that the one of the best products I have seen this year, does what I am listing above - SCORM Cloud.
