Initially, I only used it to storyboard my course content and interactions in PowerPoint. However, I quickly realized I could build most of what we needed in PowerPoint. As soon as I asked that question, I heard all of the bellyaching from our Flash developers and most of the custom e-learning vendors we hired.

Subject matter experts are embracing the more sophisticated rapid e-learning tools which allow server side development with international collaboration and “instant&# course deployment. E-Learning development houses need to be able to demonstrate a clear value in their services. I completely agree with this.

I dont do any programming. I use Word, PowerPoint, Visio. I think my dinosaur status as an instructional designer stems from the fact that Ive always worked for e-Learning vendors where the programming, graphics, and ID are distinct, separate job roles. I think Im somewhat of an anomaly in the field.

To start, you select a PowerPoint that you have created or are creating and upload it into the system. Each PowerPoint slide appears in order, following your PPT order. Now, if this is a WBT, why would you want to see the person’s name on the course and e-mail address? E-Learning. Create a Course.
