This was my third TK in a row to attend, and as usual it contained some WOW on the part of some products, some “huh” on others and even a few “boos” Overall Expo Analysis. Nice selection of vendors – in general. I heard this happen to two vendors. Product Time. Yowsa Product.

When people think authoring tools, three products typically come to mind. I’ve always found this product to be the top of the line for PowerPoint to Flash course builds. It is easy to use and once you learn it, easy to push out content. Engage is the only product you can edit the HTML – using a HTML Kit.

You can try to figure out about the product via the company’s web site, but many sites honestly are beyond awful. They fail to even clearly show their product, let alone present the product sans the standard PPT intro that comes with “learn more” about the solution. Right product?

Most licenses (again depends on vendor) includes unlimited webinars for the month and either unlimited people or a limit of people per month (example 25 per session). Typically with licenses – a lot of vendors do not enable you to have the multiple rooms at the same time – i.e. concurrent. You can’t do both.

As the evolution of e-learning continues, the rapid content authoring tools (RCAT) market follows suit. This is a growing market with new vendors showing up, but at the same time, others disappearing. Macromedia Authorware and similar products. 43 Vendors do not have one. So nobody can see their product.
