I admit that in general I have been underwhelmed in the past with Saba. So, when I went and checked out Saba Social, Saba’s new social learning platform, I had very low expectations. My Learning – identified the popular courses – solid. I was surprised. They finally figured it out.

LMS Products of the Year 2010. A lot of great products out there this year, new updates and latest versions; new companies, new services and just some real innovation. I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Saba does a good job as well.

Every E-Learning vendor should want your business and treat you as they would want to be treated. Every LMS vendor should have a standard regarding response times, when they receive an inquiry via the internet. I know of one vendor who responds within 30 minutes of receiving an inquiry. E-Learning 24/7.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Regardless, you need to have your product out and showing. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. their own sales folks) and type of product they are pitching.

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. While the learning cloud and extended enterprise cloud are purchased by folks, I still see the platform – assuming you get all the modules as a HCM.

CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. CBT was the “new” and exciting way to learn. Still in existence Saba – Today? It was challenging to learn, but a great product.

20 Saba Learning Suite. With its m-learning capability including on/off synch and rather solid UI, the product continues to be an effective solution. While the pricing is outrageous and the Saba as a whole seems better suited as a HCM, their learning suite is a better alternative than those who want Cornerstone OnDemand.
