WBT (Web-Based Training).

A Look Back at 2020 for E-Learning

I will go thru several areas for e-learning, not just learning systems, although by far, it will be the most, since a lot has happened in 2020. . But overall, in my opinion, EdTech also showed all its weaknesses front and center, and way too many vendors were unprepared for the numbers of schools, universities, colleges, etc.

What if instead of focusing primarly on the LMS, you went courses first from a vendor and in return got the LMS for free. But, what if the reverse was doable?

A press release from an LMS vendor that stated something not so accurate, but accurate enough. What irked my brain on a recent press release was that the vendor announced they would have over 12,000 courses from Linkedin Learning (it is the Lynda.com courses/content) in their (the vendor’s) system. .

I explained the “standards” I see are requirements for any system to be called an LMS (and various subsets). The Alternative Vendors of Learning.
