We set out to develop a curriculum that could teach subject experts and generalist trainers the essentials of instructional design in just 30 minutes. The 30-minute masters originated from a discussion between Cammy Bean and myself at the Boston eLearning Guild Annual Gathering earlier this year.

If RMC were to host a wiki, wiki software could be chosen that would be firewall-friendly, such as MediaWiki. Talk to me about the CDA wiki option - we have an instance of mediawiki that works on both DWAN and WWW. In an effort to provide a continuous learning experience I implemented a Wiki using MediaWiki. Myself and a few others filled the Wiki with detailed instructions covering every procedure the software is used for. Tags: Wiki Instructional Design web 2.0 What have you done that worked well?

Initially, you can start where only your instructional designers / writers are allowed to make changes. It takes more work, but initially this is a good way to overcome this objection. Limit Authoring - You can control who is allowed to make changes. Then, maybe open it up to subject matter experts. Then to the help desk.
