Forums vs. Social Networks?

Social Network Examples are Ning and KickApps. I'm debating the value of forum / group / threaded discussion software vs. social network software for a particular situation. It aims at a very broad audience that includes everyone from early adopters to technology laggards.

Keeping Up - April's Big Question

April's Big Question from Learning Circuits is "How to Keep up?" This is in reference the immense and rapidly expanding technology tools. It is tough to stay on top of all the emerging tools. However, being involved in an e-learning community is a big help. For me it is a blog community and following many experts on Twitter. Not only am I often made aware of new tools, but also get opinions, tips, and examples of their use.

Anytime my daughter asks a question like, “What do starfish eat?” or, “Can you tie a tie like Daddy?” I turn to the oracle — the Internet. I use Google multiple times a day — looking for information on how to do this, or how to do that — for both my professional life and my personal life.
