The initial person who thought buying SumTotal was a great idea (initially it was) and then dumped it for a fortune to Skillsoft (another great idea), which in turn was someone at Skillsoft thinking this was a great idea, which turned out to be false and was a factor in Skillsoft going into bankruptcy due to the albatross known as SumTotal.

Learning Systems for 2018 (#25 to #16)

For folks who think I ignore the big dog vendors, sorry to disappoint, but Saba, SumTotal Learn and Cornerstone Learning Suite are in the Top 50. So, yeah, mobile needs a few upgrades. #16 UI/UX is quite good – but time for an update, okay a minor upgrade. SuccessFactors, Oracle and others are not. . Still strong though.
