Someone came up with the idea to create templates for developing courses quickly – and no, it wasn’t someone from Adobe or Articulate. I looked at the templates and thought that anybody could create a course without knowing anything about ID or e-learning development, which wouldn’t be good. At the time, I hated it.

If you ever wondered what down the tubes look like, look no further than Learn.com. Oh, how we missed you – Grovo followed the same approach as Learn.com, and how well did that turn out exactly?

Learn.com – They came a bit later, but there is a good story, and yes, they still exist. Learn.com started out as an LMS. Taleo promised to invest big $$$ to make Learn.com amazing. The Learn.com former system, is still there, under the Oracle brand, which uh, yeah, not sure, how that looks. Blackboard.

Open Sesame is what we call a content aggregator, in that they sell as one unit, but have content coming from various other providers into their solution.
