The LEP space is now the 2nd largest segment in the learning system space (LMSs are still first). One area I am seeing trend wise are learning environment and administrative features starting to mimic LMSs (not 100% in some cases, but pretty close). . Machine Learning (AI). You want this one, and most systems allow it.

Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? And therein lies one of the issues, that is showing up with many, many vendors.

First, when our discussion turned to machine learning, he said, “People forget that computers are really dumb,” and in the end of everything, its all binary – i.e. 1’s and 0s. I look at multiple variables and factors when identifying the top 10 systems, and thus, please, please do your due diligence.

Most recently it has been maintained that streaming video (Netflix, et al) will do down movie theatres. We still use pens to write things down; and yet humans are still capable of prodigious feats of memory (just remembering all those logins, for a start). Practitioners needed more innovative solutions than the vendors were supplying.
