Bonus tip: If you want to add pictures or videos over the laptop image, then it’s probably a good idea to just fill the inside with black and square off the corners since the videos won’t have rounded corners. I saved it as a PNG. I also added the tutorial to the last slide for those who can’t access the Screenr tutorial.

To remove a background, create a colored shape that sits over the picture. Group the shape and picture. In PowerPoint, add a shape to the slide. Open the selection pane to see a layered view of the objects on the slide. Then do some basic edits like: Fill it with gray or black and set it behind the picture.

Here are some of the features I like to have in a single tab: Add a new slide/layout. Slide master. Insert pictures & clipart. Paste as PNG.
