A lot of it said quite correctly that HTML5 is not there yet. And that Flash provides things that you can’t do in HTML/JavaScript.

Development Tools I Would Learn If I Were You - June's Big Question

They provided just enough to make us dangerous with HTML, Flash, Photoshop and Authorware. No, I do not use Authorware now, but it is hard to predict what will be an essential tool 10 years down the road. Keep in mind some may be DHTML output, others create Flash SWFs. However, see my comments under HTML/HTML5.

Authoring Tool Market – What I am seeing

HTML5 output. Right now I am doing a survey on authoring tools (more on this at the end of the post) and so far 100% of all respondents state that HTML5 output is required in an authoring tool. I do believe that HTML5 output will continue to grow as an authoring tool feature. HTML5 templates. Audio Editing.
