In corporate training we’re talking a lot about wikis, blogs, RSS, podcasts, vodcasts, bookmarking, etc. Imagine all these people in little rooms with their scalpels being overseen by one person like the self-service checkouts at the Home Depot. Isn’t this just more work for the learner? create your own content.

Google Reader is a Web feed aggregator that allows learners and instructors to collect updates content (blogs, news feeds, podcasts, vodcasts, multimedia, etc.). On iGoogle, learners can create their own start-age; their own customized, personal learning environment. Google Gears allows learners to view content from Google Reader offline.
