We installed MediaWiki on our local server a couple of weeks ago and Ive been using it to record everything I can for my e-Learning strategy project. Im a Word power-user and love all the little tricks and shortcuts. I dont have to open 800 documents. And I love it. Bye bye Word. I miss them. But the payoff is huge.

So, yes, you have to set up policies and alert people just like you do around any form of electronic communication (email, IM). Control over Quality of Information - See above Strict Control Over Policies – Accuracy - See above Liability / Discoverability / Compliance - Absolutely the contents of your Wiki, Blogs, etc. is discoverable.
