Since my Top 10 list of LMS vendors has been posted online, I have received quite a bit of e-mail wondering why the biggest names: Cornerstone On Demand, Saba, SumTotal and SuccessFactors are not on the list. There is a wide assumption that if a product sells a lot it means that it is better than anyone else. Think about it.

What I find more often than not, are the vendors who either lack the marketing budget to do anything (uh, organic can work), or focus on the product more than marketing. You will see a full product review of them, this summer. Some vendors are masters of marketing – envious even. The look is a wow factor.

EdCast – this is more towards their XP version and not Spark. They are not the only customer education system, that either charges an outrageous price for white label custom domains OR in the case of some of the others up there, doesn’t even offer it. white label and it looks like the system).

And if they are in the customer ed/learning segment, can be white labeled for that client. Sadly, there are systems that still lack the first two items, and many in the customer ed segment lack the white label. What is the minimum browser(s) version and which ones will it work with? Docebo is a combo system.

– the latest version with some features around it, didn’t make much sense to me. Blog – Product Review coming in early Q1, 2023. It also does not include Saba nor SumTotal. Their competitors – TI, many have a mobile app, and can white-label it (for a fee). Skills no surprise, are upper tier.

There is something about gaining insight and knowledge around various products or offerings when you either have limited or zero-knowledge around these items, but you want to purchase one at some point. Vendors in this category include SuccessFactors, SumTotal. I love buyer’s guides. Degreed, EdCast TXP are two perfect examples.
