A lot of readers and folks on various social media have asked about my perspective on a variety of areas, so without further adieu. Especially on the vendor side, whereas pricing for systems, dropped in cost. Prior to the recession, the last one specifically, vendors were charging in the low 30’s for price per seat/user/per year.

Can send course links via e-mail and even social media – seen in collaborative learning environments aka online authoring systems, some people call themselves training management systems – but the authoring tool is the key component. Ability to include social media – I’m not talking about YouTube here.

The Association market is by far, IMO, one of the top three markets, that as a vendor, you should be in. However, a professional association may also allow companies to be members too, and sometimes, there are vendors who are members referred to in the industry as “associate members” (but the vernacular can be different).

I huge kudos to Thinking Cap, who has a wonderful list of organizations that hand out awards. Granted it does not include bloggers (I hand them out- more on that in a sec) or believe it or not – other vendors, but it is a nice list nevertheless. In the LMS market alone, there are over 395 vendors. Submission.

Mobile and Social. Social on the other hand is a hit or miss. Any vendor, who includes a set storage fee, should be able to provide you a range of number of courses – with examples and video/audio files – if you plan to use them. Many vendors’ sites do not state this information in their pricing.
