In 2000, I built my own LMS for a company, and was hired to create an e-learning program for customer training, as well as run a training division with ILT still in play (blended).

What I hear a lot is “L&D” and not training, when they identify who they are targeting for the tools, platforms, etc. SaaS authoring tools, trying to become hybrid Lite LMSs (a return of a trend I totally disliked back in 2010-2014). LRSs not being utilized by vendors who have it in their systems.
