Mzinga’s OmniSocial product sort of fits the build, but it lacks some components, to what I see as a true system, specifically 100% standalone, since it can also be integrated into a LMS or used in their own LMS. I will admit that the one of the best products I have seen this year, does what I am listing above - SCORM Cloud.

This will become one of the biggest features in 2012 – especially with people wanting to create simulations without being an e-learning developer. Assessment/Survey/Polls – If your product doesn’t have it – you need it. I hope it does – especially with SaaS products. People want it.

Product: Raptivity. Don’t get me wrong, this is a product that offers some really great features, but it constant pitching within the product to upsell, becomes irritating, so much so, I can easily see someone blasting the product into recycle bin space. Before you use the product, you must have Flash 8.0

How many times have you looked at a system, only to say to yourselves, wasn’t that available back in 2004 and if so, why are they touting that as something new? I see it a lot, especially with social learning and the wonderment of some vendors of adding a “discussion forum and text chat room&# as part of their solution. .

SCORM – Assuming they do not support SCORM 2004 3rd edition, thus all SCORM levels below it, you will find salespeople who have no idea on a) what it is, b) just say yes they do – even if their product does not. What products are they using? any E-Learning product. Sadly, those days are gone.

interfaces directly with the product (ribbon? is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other. This is a growing market with new vendors showing up, but at the same time, others disappearing. Macromedia Authorware and similar products. 43 Vendors do not have one. So nobody can see their product.

For other versions, like SCORM 2004 3rd edition, I know quite a few vendors who didn’t see value in it/had challenges with adding it – time consuming as one vendor told me. Thus Tin Can API could easily follow suit from many vendors’ perspectives. E-Learning 24/7. Three years from now?

While I had some exciting expectations when I jumped into the product, by the end of it all, I felt drained. One of the irritants with RCATs and frankly many e-learning vendors in assessment and other groups, is that you have no idea what image format is acceptable, until you go into the select image function.

Product: Liquid Authoring. SCORM 2004, 1.2 In test version, product did not work in FireFox, had problems in Safari, but worked well in Internet Explorer. SCORM 2004; you can also export courses or import courses . It is as though, the product itself wants to be two things to two groups of end users.
