The latest DoDI advises all entities within the DoD to procure eLearning technology solutions that are compliant with the SCORM or Experience API (xAPI) specifications. The 2006 DoDI required any DL technology to be SCORM conformant. In 2015, we at Rustici were awarded a BAA from ADL to help them revise the 2006 DoDI 1322.26.

Raptivity

In April 2006, Harbinger Knowledge Products launched Raptivity in the eLearning sector with an aim to simplify and engage learners through interactivity for better learning outcomes. It was amongst the first to support HTML5 interactions and Tin Can tracking (xAPI). Let us revisit these ten years to know where Raptivity has come today.

A newer standard than even xAPI, Caliper is somewhat less ambitious than xAPI in the number of use cases considered and APIs specified. As Martin is one of the xAPI originators, this could foreshadow future synergies between the two standards and help xAPI get out of the Trough (see below).
