So this is wild for me, first time I am a tour stop on a blog book tour! I've been an author on blog book tours but now I get to be a stop on a tour and I couldn't be happier to be a stop for my friend and prolific author, Jane Bozarth. She starts with a basic description of social media and then covers all the biggies, Twitter, Facebook(online communities), Blogs, and wikis. So I sit down at my desk this morning, opened up Gmail as I always do and noticed Google Buzz. I read like 61 trillion tweets about Google Buzz over the past few days so, of course, I was fatigued with it to begin with. Tweets, blog posts, RSS feed just loaded with it. I was expecting someone to say at breakfast, &# hey, did you try Google Buzz…what’s that about?&# (no one would ever say that to me at breakfast though… make me eggs!

Keeping Up - April's Big Question

I also like to make occasional visits to Google Labs and Adobe Labs to "keep up" with the tech tools they are working on and to test drive any beta versions available. I recently posted my Top 10 eLearning Predictions for 2010 and did a presentation on the topic. I just read a great post by Dan Pontefract - SharePoint 2010: The New Employee Gateway? Google Wave as a Mashup? When I was discussing Mashups and pointed to the Twitter Captivate Integration and my example of taking notes/asking questions widget, someone suggested: Google Wave looks like it has a lot of potential for that Great point!

For example, Google's Wave was all the rage a while back and, while it is interesting, I am not that engaged with it. This Month's ASTD Big Question is simple and comple x--"How do we keep up?"
