They plan on launching a version next year on smartphones. Kinect technology and gesture free will equally make an appearance in 2012. I am projecting that the number of vendors who enter this space to start slow, but gain steam – at least with some aspect, by the end of 2012. This is my major hot trend for 2012.

At one time a true freebie – they still offer a stripped down version, their new fee based system provides enough oomph to make anyone go “Wow” Features include: The standards – i.e. my 90/10, whereas 90% of the features are the same in the majority of systems in the space. Last week, I attended TK 2012 in Las Vegas. Nice selection of vendors – in general. Yes they offer some features for free, but the paid version looks exactly like any other social learning system that uses the FB like page. “This elixer will cure baldness, the common cold and make you smile” ZebraApps.

Too me, that is not truly mobile learning. While it has been reported that the next version of the iPad will have 4G, lets not forget that 4G data is not free. What they really mean is that you can view the LMS and courses via your mobile web browser. .

elearning maker - another product form e-doceo; screenwriting, storyboards, media inserts, selection and moving of elements plus more; a beginner could use some of the features, but a developer has some additional capabilities and flexibilities. Quicklessons – while they do offer a free version, the product most folks will buy they do not. As of mid 2012, 58 million people used Mac OS as their primary OS. In the first four days of the latest version (July 25, 2012) of MAC OS, Apple sold 3 million units. Cobent CoAuthor. Knowledge Quest – No.

Continued increase in the number of vendors, regardless of size or target customer size (i.e I am projecting that by the end of 2012, you will see HRIS features come into play, but more so as an additional cost module. I expect to see over 80% of the market go SaaS by the end of 2012. small biz, smb, etc.) Prediction.
